## What to take from it

Hooks are the part worth studying. Running a formatter after every edit or blocking a commit that fails a check are small automations that change the experience considerably, and they are easy to miss in the documentation.

The instruction file examples are also instructive, mostly for what experienced users leave out. The good ones are much shorter than a first attempt tends to be.

## The usual caveat about awesome lists

It is an index, not a review. Entries are contributed rather than tested, and the ratio of maintained to abandoned drifts the way it does on every list of this kind.

Treat it as a source of ideas to reimplement rather than configuration to paste. Anything that runs on your machine after every edit deserves a read first.
