Design as the differentiator

Most self hosted tools look self hosted. This one does not, which matters more than it sounds if the interface is going in front of colleagues who are comparing it against a commercial product they already like.

The plugin and assistant layers are genuinely used rather than decorative, so a specific job like a writing assistant or a translation helper can be set up once and reached from a menu instead of rebuilt in a prompt each time.

Check the licence for your case

It is not a plain permissive licence. There are additional conditions around commercial use and branding, so a client deployment or a rebranded product needs the licence file read properly rather than skimmed.

For personal use this is a non issue and the polish is free. For anything commercial, LibreChat's plain MIT is the less complicated path.
